Objective of the forum

To develop recommendations for improving state policy in support of veterans, their families, the families of the missing and captured soldiers, by bringing together the efforts of Members of Parliament, executive authorities, local governments, public and private sectors.

Key goal of the forum:

  • To discuss the adherence to the rights of veterans and the development of a system for their social protection, medical care, psychological rehabilitation, social and professional adaptation.
  • To discuss the needs of the families of veterans, the families of the missing and captured soldiers.
  • To exchange experiences and promote effective practices for implementing state policies to support veterans at the community level
  • To develop proposals for consideration in the formulation and approval of state policies on the reintegration of veterans and support for their families, as well as the families of the missing and captured soldiers.

Consider:

  • Effective practices of government agencies.
  • Short-term and long-term programs, principles and strategies for supporting veterans.
  • Best examples of communities working with veterans.
  • Existing problems and barriers as seen by communities and veterans.
  • Existing solutions that can be scaled up in the region and the country

We will form:

  • A community of veterans, community representatives, government and non-governmental organizations united by a desire to restore the nation and rebuild Ukraine.

We invite to participate:

  • Veterans who want to or have already been involved in changing veterans’ policy in the region and Ukraine.
  • Representatives of the communities of Ternopil region.
  • Non-governmental organizations working to meet the needs and protect the rights of combatants, veterans, their families and family members of fallen heroes.
